We will miss you Yasmin Ahmad

Puan Yasmin Ahmad passed away yesterday. Her unexpected demise has shocked all of us. We will miss her as a person who was able to break the racial barrier within the Malaysian film industry where Malay films are always considered Malaysian but not the others. Her "Sepet" for example is a film for all Malaysian. It is a revelation and a learning experience for Bangsa Malaysian. It is a 1Malaysia well before our PM came up with it.

In her lifetime, she have always been a controversial figure because she speak with frankness without any ulterior motive - politically or monetary. She will be remembered for her films and her heart-warming advertisement especially the Hari Kebangsaan ad. which touch us all no matter who we are or where we comes from, she make us all the same.

Al- Fatihah and May Allah Blessed her ... Amin.

Some of the singing contests are Akademi Fantasia (AF), One in A Million (OIAM), Mentor, Gangstar, MyStar LG, Bintang RTM, Malaysia Idol and many more. Where are they taking our youths?
