I TOTALLY AGREES
Dr. Asri jangan ceburi politik - Zulkifli Noordin
KUALA LUMPUR 9 Nov.
- Bernama

PM questions motive for Dr Mohd Asri's arrest
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has questioned the motive behind the arrest of former Perlis Mufti Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin.
Dr Mohd Asri, who was arrested on Sunday night, was released on a police bond Monday without being charged.
Najib said that Dr Mohd Asri was a truthful speaker whose talks were always backed by proof and clear dalil (quaranic and Hadith verses).
“I don’t know what is the motive of the arrest. It was done by the state religious agency. It has nothing to do with the Federal Government,” he told reporters on Monday after launching a Pasar Tani convention.
Najib was asked to comment on Dr Mohd Asri’s arrest by the Selangor Religious Affairs Department (JAIS) on Sunday night for allegedly promoting the Wahabi doctrine to supporters

Guan Eng, Anwar and Isa - how they different?
Why is it okay for ex-convicts like Mr Lim Guan Eng (found guilty under OSA) and Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim (found guilty for corruption) to contest in the general election but not Dato Isa Samad? Dato Isa is not even a real convict since he is found guilty by a committee in UMNO. Dato Isa later serves his suspension just like Guan Eng and Anwar who have also serve their jail term.

What do you think?

All the president's men:
Samy Vellu shows who's boss at MIC elections
2009/09/13
M.K. Megan, B. Suresh Ram and Sajahan Waheed
Palanivel and company sweep top posts.
MIC chief says Indians upset with BN, not him.
KUALA LUMPUR: The president’s men made an almost clean sweep in the party elections, reinforcing the firm grip Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu has on the party.
Samy Vellu’s men won the post of deputy president and the three vice-presidencies. They also took 19 of the 23 central working committee posts.
There had been wide speculation that many in the Indian community felt Samy Vellu had overstayed his welcome. But, the results show that the MIC delegates are still behind him.
However, there appears to be an undercurrent of desire for some change at least, as evidenced by the small majorities received by some of Samy Vellu’s men and one of his harshest critics being voted into the CWC.
Incumbent deputy president Datuk G. Palanivel retained his post with a slim margin of 82 votes while the three MIC members of parliament Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam, Datuk S.K. Devamany and Datuk M. Saravanan won the vice-presidencies.

Indonesian students pelt M’sian embassy with rotten eggs
About 30 Indonesian students pelted the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta with rotten eggs and attempted to raise an Indonesian flag at the gate on Tuesday. The attack was believed to have been spurred by allegations that the Malaysian national anthem Negara Ku had been copied from the Indonesian song Terang Bulan.

Alahai Tun Musa Hitam
Ubah pendekatan lapuk

Let Malaysians advertise Pendet and wayang
Let Malaysians advertise Pendet and wayang
Riyadi Suparno , The Jakarta Post , Jakarta | Thu, 08/27/2009 12:52 PM | Headlines
We Indonesians are simply overreacting in our response to Malaysia's use of the Balinese Pendet dance in promotional TV spots. We are acting like a big brother and bullying our younger brother. And such responses will not help us become a better nation.
First, it was a small protest from a group of Balinese people, the rightful owner of the dance, then unfortunately it grew into a nationwide condemnation of Malaysia.
Just read the comments posted at www.thejakartapost.com or many other Internet forums discussing the issue, and you will easily find many condemnations from Indonesians against Malaysia, some even urging the government to ganyang (invade) Malaysia, invoking memories of the time Indonesia was in confrontation with Malaysia.
Unwisely, the government responded in the same way, with the tourism minister summoning the Malaysian embassy's top official and sending a letter of protest to his counterpart in Kuala Lumpur.
But it did not stop there. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono joined the fray, calling on the Malaysian government to deal more carefully with "sensitive" cultural issues between the two countries.
Our responses have really gone too far. Just read this news from Antara: Diponegoro University (Undip), one of Indonesia's leading institutes of higher learning, has stopped admitting Malaysian students for the 2009-2010 academic year in an expression of "nationalism".
"We have done it as a concrete expression of our sense of nationalism," Undip rector Susilo Wibowo said Tuesday as quoted by Antara, after attending a ceremony to mark the induction of new students.
But we don't know the real reasons behind it. It could be because there were no Malaysian students applying to study at the university this academic year, which begins in July.
The point here is that we just overreacted to this issue, or worse, we tried to bully one of our closest neighbors.
Malaysia uses various Asian cultural expressions, especially Chinese and Indian, in its tourism campaign "Malaysia Truly Asia". China and India have never protested Malaysia's use of their cultural heritage in its tourism campaigns.
Why then are we so angry whenever Malaysia uses our cultural heritage, including the Pendet, batik and wayang in their tourism campaigns? In reality, though, Malaysia has never claimed the Pendet as their dance, batik as their craft or wayang as their performance.
These are Indonesian cultural expressions brought to Malaysia by the millions of Indonesians who moved there, mostly as migrant workers.
If it's an issue of rights, we don't have copyrights for most of our cultural products. Much, if not the majority of our cultural heritage, was created by our ancestors for the good of society and mankind.
For instance, many of our best classical Javanese gamelan compositions were written by anonymous composers. They were composed for the kings and the people, and the composers deliberately did not put their names there, much less copyrighted them.
Before Indonesia existed, anyone could play these compositions, even people from outside the Javanese kingdom. Now that Indonesia exists, does it mean nobody outside Indonesia can play and use them in their tourism campaigns, even if they have gamelan groups in their own countries?
Currently, hundreds of gamelan groups exist outside Indonesia. If they wish to promote their groups or if their country wishes to use these gamelan groups to promote tourism, they have every right to use gamelan images in their campaign.
Thus instead of getting angry or sending letter of protests or stopping admitting Malaysian students, we should be more positive and collaborate with the Malaysian government to promote our culture in that country.
When there are more Malaysians dancing the Pendet and playing the gamelan and to Indonesian pop songs, it will only mean more benefits, and not losses, to Indonesia. It will mean more commerce and tourism between the two countries.
Not only that, it would also strengthen cultural ties between the two nations.
Similarly, if Malaysia advertises more Indonesian cultural heritage, it would bring more benefits than losses to us.
Let says, Malaysia advertises the Pendet, and tourists go there because of the advertisement. There is a great chance these tourists will continue on to Bali to see the Pendet at its source. So it not only saves us precious advertising dollars - which we rarely ever spend anyway - but also brings in dollar from more tourist visits.
So let Malaysians dance our Pendet and play our wayang and advertise them. It will only do good things for us in Indonesia.

Bar Council Supports PR?
The Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board struck Rohaizat Othman off the Roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 7 March 2008 after he was found guilty of misconduct. The Disciplinary Board's decision arose from an investigation into the complaint lodged against Rohaizat Othman by the purchaser of a piece of real property. According to the complaint, Rohaizat Othman failed to refund almost RM 161,000 to the complainant after the transaction was aborted.
The finding of misconduct is personal to Rohaizat Othman, as the Disciplinary Board would not hold a lawyer liable for the actions of his/her law partner(s).

MACC makes arrest in abuse of funds probe
MACC makes arrest in abuse of funds probe
By LOURDES CHARLES (The STAR Online 15 August 2009)
KUALA LUMPUR: An aide to Selangor exco member Ronnie Liu has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in investigations into alleged abuse of development funds worth about RM500,000 by several state assemblymen.
Wong Chuan How, 51, who is also a Sepang municipal councillor, was arrested after a brief scuffle with MACC officers at about 9.450am at his Sungai Pelek service centre near Sepang.
My Take : Hasn't the MACC learned anything about to how to arrest and treat their suspects yet? I saw the video clip on TV of arrest and I'm not sure what really happened although it was claimed by the MACC that the suspect fell during the struggle. I have to see the video again if its available anywhere ..

We will miss you Yasmin Ahmad
Puan Yasmin Ahmad passed away yesterday. Her unexpected demise has shocked all of us. We will miss her as a person who was able to break the racial barrier within the Malaysian film industry where Malay films are always considered Malaysian but not the others. Her "Sepet" for example is a film for all Malaysian. It is a revelation and a learning experience for Bangsa Malaysian. It is a 1Malaysia well before our PM came up with it.
Al- Fatihah and May Allah Blessed her ... Amin.

Unbelievable that
As for the Malaysian team (or maybe having some Indonesian players would be a good idea) will not let us down. They have to show MU that the first game is no fluke and they can really play football. Who knows, Alex Ferguson might pick one or two for trial at MU. Hard luck, no chance.

Spekulasi: Isu Peralihan Kuasa Perdana Menteri, Perletakan Jawatan Pak Lah Diterima Tetapi Yang Di Pertuan Agong Tangguhkan Perlantikan Najib
His latest accusation …
“ …… (YB Hee Yit Foong) was also the key person in getting V. Sivakumar removed from the (assembly) hall like a sack of (rotten) potatoes. And she (YB Hee Yit Foong) was paid RM25 million to cross over to Barisan Nasional …….. ……….Whatever it may be, the thing that prompted her to abandon, the party that no longer appreciated her services was the RM25 million that Vincent Tan of Berjaya paid her. Yes, she was paid a cool RM25 million in cash” – RPK. Parentheses mine.

The STAR Online – 7th May 2009
Chaos reigned at the Perak state assembly sitting on Thursday with assemblyman from both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat arguing with each other and even involved in minor scuffles. The main order of the day was the appointment of a new Speaker, with Datuk R.Ganesan receiving the nod from the Barisan assemblyman and Independents. Former Speaker V. Sivakumar was eventually forcibly removed from his seat after about a five-hour standoff.
…… What more can be said? Idiots all of them from both sides of the assembly. These adults are hooligans who should be ashamed of themselves. No respect whatsoever to the Raja Muda..

What's up with all these singing contests?
Many years ago, we only have BINTANG RTM. I could still remember Taufik Latif voice’s very clearly as he introduced the “pertandingan akhir Bintang RTM”. We also have excellence singers from Bintang RTM such as Jamal, Sudir and Siti. Now we still have Bintang RTM and we have other competitions as well. In fact, we have so many of them and we wonder if Malaysian truly can sing. Many dream to make it big as singers. Almost all of them will keep on dreaming. Some of the singing contests are Akademi Fantasia (AF), One in A Million (OIAM),

What's up with Nizar and Zambry in Perak?
After the last election, ADUNs from DAP assumed one of them will be MB in Perak since they have the numbers (compared to PAS and PKR). However, the Perak constitutions state that the MB must be Malay/Muslim. Frustrated, the DAP protested and even want to boycott the swearing in ceremony of the MB (Nizar of PAS). To the DAP, why not a MB from their party. Why must an ADUN from PAS with only 2 seats be the MB.
As for Nizar, he is MB not because he have the support but because of the constitutions. Without the Sultan consent, he will not be the MB! Now it is very strange that he is challenging the same state’s constitution that made him MB.
Going back, after realising that their ADUN will not be the MB, DAP suggested Jamaluddin of PKR to beone because the DAP thought they can manipulate the MB and be their puppet (but Nizar is already a puppet). However, the Sultan will not have this . He wants the MB to be one of sound educational background, and so in come Nizar. Therefore, Nizar would not be MB if not for the Sultan insistence. Without the palace’s support, Nizar will just another ADUN from PAS.
Now, the table turned and the support of the Sultan is with Zambry. Therefore, Nizar should support him just like Zambry supported him then. Both need the support of the Sultan as MB. However, Nizar had lost this support and have been transferred to Zambry.
Having said all of the above, I strongly believes that the BN should dissolve the Perak State assembly. The final decision should be with the rakyat. A new election shall be the test to PR's solidarity. Many are saying that the DAP will be fielding several Malays as their candidate so that one of them will be the next

What's up with all of us? The Kugan lcase.
Suspected car thief A. Kugan was laid to rest at 5:20pm Wednesday at the Batu 14 cemetery here, more than a week after his death while in police custody had created a controversy.
He was buried in the presence of family members and hundreds of supporters and well-wishers.
It was a day in which emotions were on edge. The drama started in the vicinity of the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) in Petaling Jaya when the Field Reserve Unit (FRU) and the Light Strike Force were deployed, creating a massive jam at about 9:30am.
The units were placed there in anticipation of a large crowd for the procession that would begin at the UMMC mortuary where Kugan’s body was being kept, Petaling Jaya police chief Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said.
By 11am, that expected large crowd had materialised, even before Kugan’s family arrived at about noon.

This is not good for the country. Everybody must be more responsible in whatever actions that they are going to take due this unfortunate incident.
The POLICE - They will have to come clean and must failrly explain to the rakyat about the death of Kugan ... whatever his offence, he should be given a fair trial. That's his right as a citizen. The police promise that they are going to investigate this case further and we hope that they will be do it in a fair and proffesional manner.

What's up with us Malaysian? Are we turning into a violent society?
Another Wangsa Maju mob attack, another African dead. Somalian Kadar Abdul Kadir Said, 22, had been looking forward to hanging out with his friends during the long semester break. Instead, he is now dead.
(Can the police enlightened us about this unfortunate incident?)
The business administration student from Insaniah University College in Alor Setar, Kedah, died after a senseless attack that was eerily reminiscent of the one that claimed the life of a Chad student last September, about one kilometre away. Kadar, from Mogadishu, was savagely beaten by a mob of 17 who, eyewitnesses claimed, were high on alcohol.
(The Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Higher Education and Home should come together and look into these incidents for they are not totally isolated cases. There seem to be a tendency amongst the locals (Malaysian) to treat foreigners (especially African) with bad feeling and intentions. There could many reasons for this but most probably the several cases involving a few Africans with criminal activities such as the "black money scams" had created a sort of unfair assumptions about these students from Africa. This is something that the three ministries must sort out and muinvestigate upon and see what the real reasons for this things to happen and what can they do to help. The ministers concern must do everything in their power to try to educate Malaysian regarding this as well. I heard that in some of the colleges where they go to, they are intentionally outcast by their fellow students. Many of them claimed that Malaysian students refuse to be friend with them and refuse to study together. Is this true?
We must remember that not all of these students have criminals intentions. They are here to study and to learn from us! Why are we treating likewise?

Obama to Shut Guantánamo Site
First of all, let all of us welcome Barack Hussien Obama as the "most powerful man in the world" in place of the "the idiotic man of the world". But for the time being, I am not going to bet my last dollar on Obama. Mr Obama has got to walk the talk and to convince us all that he is for real, he is elected for what he is, and for his ability.
The world hailed him as the first black president for USA because his father a Kenyan and is black BUT many forget that his mother is white and from Hawaii. This means he as much a white man and an American that he is a black man and a foreigner.

What's up FAM ...Wake-up!
The football scene in Malaysia today is not like the football scene at my kampong (many years ago) In those days we have many football matches between kampongs. The matches were really of high standard eventhough players are just fishermen or rubber tappers. They played for the love of the game not for MONEY! There are no pros .... no league ....no managers ... just kampongs kids who want to have fun .... Now .... its all gone ...
What's up with Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi ...
Pegawai Kerajaan Persekutuan dilarang hadir mesyuarat negeri (mStar 20/1/2009)
IPOH:
(This very stupid ... the BN still never learn !!!)
(Ahmad Hamidi is a nice man but he should realised that the present government is democratically elected by the rakyat).
(This is something I really want to see ... BN is rally in deep shit here !!!!)
Ahmad Zahid yang merupakan Pengerusi Majlis Tindakan Persekutuan Negeri bagaimanapun berkata, agensi-agensi seperti Jabatan Pengarain dan Saliran, Jabatan Kerja Raya, Jabatan Kesihatan, Jabatan Pertanian dan polis dikecualikan daripada larangan itu.
(I think the BN is doom in Perak. They are just so stubborn and are not willing to change and to learn from the many mistakes made by them especially during Ngah Talib stewardship)
( Another stupid innovation by UMNO ... This JKKKP is actually the previous JKKK which is then under UMNO banner. They were useless then and they are still useless .. even if they called themselves JKKKP. LEARN UMNO...LEARN)
(Conclusion .. if this kind of behaviour persists ... I am sure the BN and UMNO will not be able to govern again in Perak.!!!!!!)

What's up BN/UMNO ... PAS won !!!
As expected PAS defeated BN. Many claimed this defeat is Pak Lah's. I disagree. We must remember Pak La is strategically "missing" in KT during the campaign. This might be what he wants since he is accused to be many things by UMNO but never as the man who brings political reform to our country. Tuan Guru Haji Haji complemented Pak lah for his Leadership that enable election to much cleaner that during previous premiership notably Dr M. Congratulation to PAS. And as usual PAS extended their thanks to SPR for the win. However I wonder what would PAS say about the SPR if they lost the by-election?
